What If We Could Treat Disease Before It Happens?

One of the questions we think about a lot is what AI-driven medicine actually looks like for a real patient. Not in theory, and not years from now, but in the everyday decisions physicians have to make.
One way to think about this is through a clinical example: heart failure prevention.
We already know how to identify patients who are statistically at higher risk for cardiovascular disease, including those with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, obesity, or family history. But most risk measurement still happens at the population level, not the individual level.
Preventive therapies can reduce risk, but they also carry real side effects. Physicians cannot place every at-risk patient on treatment indefinitely without knowing who truly needs intervention.
What clinicians really need is timing
They need to know which patients are approaching a cardiac event soon, and which patients have elevated risk but remain stable.
From Molecular Signals to Clinical Timing
This is where precision medicine becomes real. With enough longitudinal RNA sequencing data from cardiac patients, AI can learn the molecular signals that appear months before heart failure symptoms emerge.
